Venus (2022)

Go-go dancer Lucía, on the run with a stash of pills and hunted by mobsters, takes sanctuary in an apartment block with sister Rocío and niece Alba only to find out that malevolent supernatural forces are at play in the building.


Sony Pictures Releasing distributes in the US.

Directed by Jaume Balagueró (Darkness, Fragile, the [REC] movies), who described the movie as having “terror, blood, aberrations and terribly bad people.”

Written by Fernando Navarro (Verónica, Muse, Below Zero).

This is the next movie under “The Fear Collection” banner, which sees Álex de la Iglesia team up with Amazon Prime Video and Sony Pictures International Productions to develop a series of new genre movies.

This is a Spanish horror movie that’s said to be loosely based on H. P. Lovecraft’s short story “The Dreams in the Witch House.”

Sony Pictures Entertainment released Venus in Theaters across Spain on December 2, 2022.

Sony Pictures released Venus on VOD and Digital platforms on September 12, 2023.
