When a powerful new troll is awakened, chaos spreads across Norway, thrusting Nora (Ine Marie Wilmann), Andreas (Kim Falck), and Captain Kris (Mads Sjøgård Pettersen) into their most dangerous mission yet. To stop the creature’s rampage, they must make new allies, new weapons, and dive into ancient Norwegian history for answers. Can they overcome the impossible odds to save their country from the brink of darkness?

Troll 2 will debut on Netflix in the US.

Director Roar Uthaug (Cold Prey, The Wave, Tomb Raider) returns to helm the movie.

The first film is reportedly Netflix’s “most popular non-English film of all time, with a record-breaking 103,000,000 views in its first 91 days. The epic movie also ranked in the Top 10 in 93 countries and topped the charts in Norway, the U.S. and the U.K.”

This is a sequel to the 2022 Norwegian movie.

Troll 2 premieres on Netflix on December 1, 2025.
