Mikey’s night terrors become reality when his mother begins showing signs of demonic possession. What he’s about to experience will haunt him for the rest of his life and claim countless lives across generations.

Saban Films distributes in the US. Saban co-presidents Jonathan Saba and Shanan Becker said the following: “Traumatika is not a movie you see – it’s a movie you experience. And there’s no better way to experience it than on the big screen. It’s hard to prepare yourself for the highly disturbing film that Pierre and Maxime have created. They are truly mad genius storytellers… consider yourself warned.”

Director Pierre Tsigaridis was quoted saying: “Traumatika blends the terror of demonic possession with the visceral intensity of slasher films and the realism of found footage. It’s a deeply sensory experience, aimed at fully immersing fans in our nightmarish world. That’s why I’m beyond excited to be partnering with Saban Films to bring the film to theaters—where audiences can truly experience it!”

One of the film’s producers was quoted saying: “This movie is a love letter to the horror subgenres we grew up watching and obsessing over. It’s a twisted, relentless ride made by horror fans, for the horror community; and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart. We can’t wait to share this insane experience with fans who live for the genre as much as we do.”

It’s said that the movie is “told over a number of years, Traumatika explores the devastating aftereffects of childhood trauma through a variety of horror styles and conventions.”

The film reportedly employs “multiple first-person point-of-view shots to immerse the audience in traumatic childhood experiences.”

Directed by Pierre Tsigaridis (Two Witches).

Saban Films released Traumatika in Theaters on September 12, 2025.
