John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most disturbing installment of the SAW franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of SAW I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.

Shawnee Smith is said to be returning in some form as “Amanda.”
Tobin Bell was expected to return and now it’s official that he’ll be back as the Jigsaw Killer, John Kramer. One of the producers was quoted saying: “What a thrill to be reuniting with Tobin. His performance as John Kramer is part of the magic that made this franchise a phenomenon and his character is an active part of this film.” (10/24/22)
This project is in the pre-production stage, with filming rumored to begin within the next few months in Mexico. (8/15/22)
One of the film’s producers was quoted saying: “We have been listening to what the fans have been asking for and are hard at work planning a movie that Saw aficionados and horror fans alike will love. And part of that is giving the reins to Kevin Greutert, director of Saw VI, which is still one of the fans’ favorites in the entire series.” (8/15/22)

This is the tenth installment in the Saw franchise that’s rumored to be a prequel that focuses on Tobin Bell’s character as Jigsaw.
Lionsgate released Saw X in Theaters on September 29, 2023.
Saw X arrived on PVOD on October 20, 2023.
