A shitstorm of bad news sends out-of-work filmmaker Jimmy Lang (Joe Begos) spiraling into an out-of-control bender, during which he claims that he’d been abducted by aliens. Fearing they’ll come back, he contacts his old friend Stiggs (Matt Mercer) to help him gear up for war. When the sun sets, the duo are thrown into a hallucinatory explosion of aliens, drugs, booze, and all-out carnage.
Eli Roth’s new distribution banner “The Horror Section” distributes in the US. This is the company’s first major deal since launching earlier this month. Roth said the following about the acquisition: “Rarely does a film stop me in my tracks the way ‘Jimmy and Stiggs’ did. I grew up on Sam Raimi and Peter Jackson’s low budget over the top splatter fests, and very few filmmakers have ever achieved that level of insanity. Horror fans have not had an experience like this in the theaters in a long time and the spirit, anarchy and fun of the movie represents everything I want to bring to the masses in theaters.” (3/31/25)
Written/directed by Joe Begos (The Mind’s Eye, VFW, Christmas Bloody Christmas).
The Horror Section released Jimmy and Stiggs in Theaters on August 15, 2025.
Black Fawn Distribution released Jimmy and Stiggs in Theatres In Canada on September 25, 2025.
The Horror Section releases Jimmy and Stiggs on VOD and Digital Platforms on September 30, 2025.
