This is one of many Steamboat Willie-inspired horror projects. The name “Steamboat Willie” is the title of the original 1928 short film, which is considered to be the debut of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. That original version of Mickey has recently become public domain, making the character available for anyone to use. However, the later more familiar versions of Mickey and Minnie are still under Disney’s copyright.
