A frustrated filmmaker, facing creative paralysis, turns to an A.I. chatbot in order to make his latest movie a hit. The result is a series of increasingly outrageous vignettes exploring the myth of Dracula in all its forms. From a wild chase through the streets of modern Transylvania to eerie hauntings in the Romanian countryside, cinematic provocateur Radu Jude returns with another boundary-pushing epic featuring a union-busting Dracula breaking a strike, an adaptation of the first Romania vampire novella, thwarted romance, fields of phalluses, lots of blood, and much more.

Writer/director Radu Jude was quoted saying: “I am very happy and extremely grateful that Dracula will be brought to American audiences. One can say ‘brought back’, since this myth circled the world and the American cinema changed it so many times. I hope it is now time to see the myth wearing new clothes, made in the heart of real Transylvania. When I am asked who is Dracula in the film, I always reply that the film itself is Dracula. I would also add that this film is my humble homage to some great American underrated auteurs: Ed Wood, Andy Warhol and the Fluxus filmmakers.”
This is a Romanian horror comedy that’s described as “a very singular take on the legendary vampire, featuring vampires, zombies, lots of blood, sex, AI images, car chases, and Jude’s trademark black comedy.”
