The story follows the Doe family as they grapple with their increasing reliance on technology, which soon takes a sinister turn. When Daughter’s dreams of attending a music festival are dashed by her parents, her attempt to save face with her friends by downloading a mysterious app sets off a terrifying chain of events. The family’s darkest secrets and deepest fears are manipulated and exposed through the devices they hold so dear.

Director Brian Babarik was quoted saying: “Technology offers incredible convenience, but Do Not Open entices us to confront the terrifying possibilities when that convenience controls us. I wanted to explore the dark side of our digital obsessions and the blurred lines between reality and what we choose to believe online.”

The movie is said to present “..a stark and unsettling reflection of our technology-addicted society, blending elements of horror and psychological thriller to deliver a tense atmosphere and heart-pounding final act.”
